My goal of 2016 was to become licensed and during my research I reached out to “The One”. However, I chose a different LCSW test prep. I completed their curriculum within 3 months and felt confident so I scheduled my exam. On the day of my exam, I completed all 170 questions and clicked submit, I saw a word that I am not fond of “FAIL”. My soul left my body… I have never felt such a way. I – A ten year Marine Corps Veteran, Failed. I was hopeless but I remembered Jason Adkins. I still had his number programmed in my cellular phone from 3 months earlier. So I called and during my most desperate time he answered the call. I needed a non-bias ear to listen to me and Jason was there to be just that – “A listening ear”. I am convinced that Jason re-lit my torch of greatness and helped me raised the bar of growth and development as a person and Social Worker. After completing, “The ONE” 15 module curriculum and weekly video tutoring sessions with Lynne Collier, LCSW I felt ready and determined. So today, 12/29/16 I sat for the ASWB LCSW exam and I Passed the Clinical ASWB examination. Believe me, the process was tough and rigorous but if you stay the course and sacrifice things that are not necessary “You Will Win”! I am excited about the new opportunities in front of me! I have a new passion about life and the field of Social Work!
